How to Unfreeze Token Accounts on Solana

3. Quick Start

Required Fields

  • Token Selection: Choose from tokens where you have freeze authority Dropdown shows tokens in your wallet where you control the freeze authority.

  • Account Address to Unfreeze: The specific account address that is currently frozen Enter the exact wallet address that holds the frozen tokens. This must be a valid Solana address.

Optional Settings

  • Priority Fee: Optional tip to validators for faster processing Higher fees can speed up confirmation during network congestion.

7. Confirmation Step

After filling the form:

  1. The tool validates the account address and freeze status
  2. Your connected wallet prompts you to review & sign
  3. The transaction includes:
    • Account unfreezing (platform fee: 0.05 SOL + network fees)
    • Authority verification to ensure you have freeze authority

8. Results

On success, the result modal shows:

  • Account unfrozen successfully with the account address
  • Transaction Hash for verification on explorers
  • Confirmation that the account can now transfer tokens

The unfrozen account will immediately be able to transfer tokens once the transaction confirms (typically a few seconds).

Common Issues

  • “No freeze authority” — You don’t own the freeze authority for this token
  • “Insufficient SOL” — Add SOL to your wallet for platform fee (0.05 SOL) + transaction fees
  • “Account not frozen” — The specified account is already unfrozen
  • “Invalid account address” — Check the address format and ensure it’s a valid Solana address
  • “Transaction failed” — Check network congestion and try increasing priority fee

Can I unfreeze accounts if I don’t have freeze authority? No - only the freeze authority holder can unfreeze accounts.

Can I unfreeze any frozen account? Yes, as long as you have freeze authority for that specific token.

Is there a limit on how many accounts I can unfreeze? No - you can unfreeze as many accounts as needed, but each requires a separate transaction.

Do I need to pay transfer fees when unfreezing? No - unfreezing doesn’t involve token transfers, so no transfer fees apply.

Can I revoke my freeze authority after unfreezing? Yes - you can revoke freeze authority to make the token permanently unfreezable.

What if my transaction fails? Only network fees are charged. The unfreezing doesn’t occur, so the account remains frozen. The 0.05 SOL platform fee is only charged on successful transactions.
